Georgia O'keeffe Museum
The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is dedicated to perpetuating the artistic legacy of Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986) and to the study and interpretation of American modernism (late nineteenth century - present).
The Museum collection is the largest single repository of O’Keeffe's work in the world. It is also the only museum anywhere in the world dedicated to an internationally known woman artist and is the most visited art museum in New Mexico.
The Museum's collections, exhibits, research center, publications, and education programs contribute to scholarly discourse and serve diverse audiences.
Aside from the Museum itself, the O’Keeffe Home and Studio at Abiquiu allows visitors to experience the world through the eyes of O’Keeffe at the place where she created some of her most iconic works. The Museum’s education and public programs have won praise from thousands of parents, educators, and school administrators, as well as awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, New Mexico Arts, and the Santa Fe Arts Commission. And the Museum’s Research Center welcomes researchers from all over the world to study American Modernism, as well as visitors who can view O’Keeffe-related artifacts on special tours.
